Meet The Team

Kristen is a lifelong cat lover.  She (accidentally!) started Save the Meow Meows in 2020 simply by fostering after learning of all the cats being euthanized in SoCal.  Kristen is now the Executive Director of Farside Journey and the owner of Save the Meow Meows Cat Lounge and Shop.

As manager, Jewel is the heart of our cat lounge in Yucca Valley where she handles everything to keep the shop running and successful. Apart from her extensive rescue experience, she also has two cats of her own, Scribble and Pixel,  and has been a lifesaving foster to many STMM kittens!

Riley is a passionate animal advocate, when he's not at the lounge, you can find him working on his own Farside Journey subsidiary, Rantanen Ranch Rescue which saves cats, dogs, and all sorts of critters. Riley is a professional pet groomer,  and has lifelong experience in animal health and wellbeing.

Dylan is a huge cat lover and has 3 cats of his own. He is a professional at IT services and is a technical advisor and board member for the rescue. Dylan is also a skilled animal caretaker and has fostered dozens of cats and kittens for Save the Meow Meows.

Anne is an experienced and dedicated wildlife rescuer who has worked with a variety of critters in need in.  She is also skilled in technical work and supports the rescue as an advisor and board member.

India is an instrumental member of the team as she is the the founder of Farside Journey Inc. She holds a Law Degree and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. She currently volunteers with the Humane Society as an Animal Rescue Team member and has saved the lives of hundreds of dogs. 

Roxann is a huge cat lover - with 5 of her own, and is an experienced professional in data analysis technical work. She assists with administrative and advisory tasks as a board member. Roxann is an advocate for cat wellbeing and rescue.
